Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos by: R.L. Lafevers

Wow, that title’s a mouthful! However, this is one of those great books that stick in your head and lives up to it’s name. If you like curses, magic, ancient egyptian myth, and imagining life in the early 1900′s this is your book. Theodosia (Theo for short) is a girl on a mission, she has to remove the curses that are placed on the artifacts in her parents museum. A tall order, especially since no one knows about it but her. Really, think about it, if your parents had several priceless artifacts, how would you get ahold of them, much less cover them in potions or wax? And it gets a lot harder as soon as her mother brings back an amulet from Egypt that could bring about the fall of England.
